Long English Cucumber
Long, thin-skinned and nearly seedless. It grows fast and is harvested very often; it needs careful hands because its skin marks easily.

What Greenhouse Ready is
We contact you, interview you, explain the work and train you before introducing you to an employer. You arrive at the interview knowing what to expect, and employers see your complete profile.
The work
Greenhouses grow vegetables year-round in a controlled environment. The work is physical, team-based and follows clear procedures.

Training plants up the wire, pruning, de-leafing and keeping rows in order.
Picking produce at the right stage with care, speed and quality.
Sorting by size and quality and preparing produce for shipping.
Keeping the greenhouse clean to protect plants and food.
You'll be on your feet for long hours, in the heat, doing repetitive tasks. That's why we explain everything up front: we want you to decide with real information.
Crops
Knowing the crop makes a difference. Our training and interviews are designed around these two crops.

Sweet Bell Pepper
Red, yellow and orange. A long-cycle crop harvested by colour — always cutting the stem, never pulling the fruit.

Greenhouse experience helps, but it isn't always required. We value field work, packing, and any physical, team-based work. When you finish the process, your profile shows your readiness level:
You've never worked in a greenhouse, but you passed screening and completed the core training.
You have field, greenhouse or packing experience and we've validated your skills.
You have direct experience with the crops or operations the employer needs.
Greenhouse Ready Training
Eight short modules on your phone: commercial greenhouses, safety, cucumbers, peppers, harvesting, food safety and your first days.
